Executive Summary Q3 2023

UK ad spend rose 5.8% during the first nine months of 2023, to a total of £27.1bn. A strong third quarter result was driven mostly by sharp increases in search (+23.7%) and online display (+24.8%). Our full year forecast has been uprated to 6.4% and we believe the UK's ad market will grow by a further 5.9% in 2024.

There has been a higher-than-expected increase driven by search and online display. The preliminary estimate for 2023 UK adspend has been upgraded to £37bn, a rise of 6.4% year-on-year.
